Great service and great ladies running the kitchen. we were in town for a little league bball game and stopped in for lunch. We had a hot dog, fish n chips, chili fries and burgers. Everything was good. My daughter said fish and chips.werr.bomb. homemade tarter sauce
Some of you may remember the magic of the original Eagan's on Olympia's westside. Thirty years ago the burgers were great and it had the perfect "small local favorite" feel. They lost that feeling for various reasons but one day in early 2023 I was driving down Highway 12 from Rochester to Elma and saw a small diner on the side of the road, pulled in and ordered a burger. I took a bite. My server came around the corner, saw the look on my face and must have thought I was having a stroke. "Are you ok?" She asked. "I've been looking for this burger for 30 years, ever since the westside Eagan's sh!t the bed" I replied without the swearing. Then, from the kitchen came the matriarch, Lisa, and she says the following: "I used to work there" Don't get me wrong, they have their own angle on burgers and other offerings that are delicious including chicken, sandwiches and fish n chips but the burger is a secret time travel device for those who miss times passed.
Yum!! Great food, friendly service, and right near the house you can't beat it. My husband and I were starving and not in the mood to cook so we grabbed Highway 12 and wow was I impressed. My French dip was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I raved about it for days after! My husband had a chicken burger and loved it as well. The service was friendly which is a plus. The location is convenient but definitely very low key and has a small parking lot. Overall, I highly recommend Highway 12 drive in!!
Delicious!! We had Swiss Mushroom burger and deep fried mushrooms. My mom had the prawns basket. Great service!
